Lost without your love - Bread

Lost and all alone
I always thought that I could make it on my own
Since you left I hardly make it through the day
My tears get in the way
And I need you back to stay

I wander through the night
And search the world to find
The words to make it right
All I want is just the way it used to be
With you here close to me
I've got to make you see

That I'm lost without your love
Life without you isn't worth the trouble of
I'm as helpless as a ship without a wheel
A touch without a feel
I can't believe its real...

And someday soon I'll wake
And find my heart won't have to break

Yes I'm lost without your love
Life without you isn't worth the trouble of
All I want is just the way it used to be
I need you here with me
Oh darlin can't you see...
If we had love before
We can have it back once more

The Hills Hoist

The Hills Hoist is a unique Aussie invention. A revolving clothesline, where we can hand our wet laundry to dry in the Aussie sun.

So it came as a great shock to me to read over the weekend that “clotheslines are banned, as they are in much of the United States.” Read article here.

The article went on to say “…was considering a law giving homeowners the right to use clotheslines despite neighbourhood fears that displays of underwear would undermine property values. But as with similar proposals in Vermont and New Hampshire, the reformers failed and bans stay in place.”

I couldn’t believe it. A quick Google wasn’t much help. I was told that there are definitely clotheslines in New Hampshire.

Can anyone please enlighten me?

Pure west coast sunshine...

Big thank you to the West Coast ladies for the HUGE box of sunshine received on a chilly Sydney morning. And the card...and the chocolate sauce recipe and... OMG it's too much.

and I don't have to share :)

And the girls all get so tanned,

An update, I've tried the Jelly Belly - Jelly Beans (the Blueberry and Watermelon flavour blew me away); the Sharffen Berger choc bar - oh; the E Guittard 91% Nocturne dark choc bar - wow but the Ghirardelli dark chocolate and caramel squares - I think I'm in heaven....

Grain prices have doubled worldwide and are expected to remain high. For the billions of people who spend a large percentage of their income on food, mostly the urban poor in developing countries, this will cause starvation and misery.

Global food prices have risen sharply in recent months, driven by rising demand, poor weather and an increase in the area of land used to grow crops for biofuels. Several big agricultural nations, such as the US, have used subsidised crops such as soya bean, sugar cane and corn for ethanol production, reducing the amount of crops available for food.
